Sample rate, bit depth, channel count and length are checked against each other before anything is written, so a mismatch is caught before it becomes a rejected deliverable.
Direct copy, never re-encoded
Samples are copied straight across. Nothing is decoded, re-encoded or re-rendered, so the file you deliver carries exactly the audio you approved.
Past 4 GB, selected automatically
Files past the 4 GB WAV ceiling are written as RF64 automatically, so a long programme does not silently truncate.

These layouts match the delivery specs Canadian broadcasters publish — CBC/Radio-Canada assigns tracks 1–6 to the 5.1 and 7–8 to described video, or to a stereo mix where there is none. Track assignment is set by each broadcaster, not by any single standard. Always check the spec you were sent.
