1KHZ software
The creative work is done. The mechanical work is not.
Four desktop apps, written in our own studio for the work that is left once the sound is finished, and for measuring the room: metadata, timecode, channels, deliverables. 14-day trial, one-time purchase, no subscription.

Where to start
What is actually in your way?
Nobody arrives here looking for a product name. You arrive with a file that will not do, a delivery coming up, an evening already gone. These are the eight situations these tools were written for.
The timecode is wrong, or there is none at all.Wave Copilot Audio TC, conform, sync by audio
There are three hundred files to rename and document.Wave Copilot Batch BWF metadata
The editor wants monos. You have polys.Wave Copilot Split and combine channels
The sound report is still to write, and it is 11 pm.Wave Copilot PDF sound report
The broadcaster wants an eight-channel WAV, laid out their way.Wave Merge Three layouts, checked before writing
The mix changed. The picture must not.Video Audio Replacer The video stream is copied, never re-encoded
You do not know what the room is really doing.RTA Meter Real-time spectrum and SPL

The main one
Wave Copilot
Finish the paperwork before you leave set.
Wave Copilot handles everything that follows the recording: reading and writing BWF metadata in batches, splitting or combining channels, repairing missing or wrong timecode, mixing, and producing the sound report. It is the app we open at the end of the day — and the one we wrote first, because it was the one we missed most.
Timecode
- Audio TC — decodes a timecode burst recorded onto a spare track, no hardware box.
- Conform — trims a continuous recording down to the main recorder’s takes.
- Sync by audio — aligns files that never shared a clock, with a confidence score.
Channels and files
- Split poly — one mono file per channel, named from your own template.
- Combine — mono, poly or both, grouped automatically by timecode and length.
- Batch metadata — project, scene, take and notes across hundreds of files at once.
Handover
- Sound report — as a PDF, built from the metadata already in the files.
- Mixing and export — automatic mix, listen back, then export.
- Conversion — format conversion without leaving the app.
What it will not do
- It does not replace your editing station: it takes care of the mechanical work around it.
- It sends nothing anywhere. Everything happens on your machine, offline.
- It never modifies the original: it writes alongside it.

The other three
One problem, one app
Each of these three does one thing. That is the point: a precise tool that opens, settles the problem and closes, rather than a whole session for a single result.
Wave Merge
Eight channels, to spec, without opening a session.
- Three layouts: 5.1 with stereo, stereo alone, or main mix with described video.
- Sample rate, bit depth, channel count and length are checked before anything is written.
- Samples are copied straight across, and RF64 takes over past 4 GB.
Video Audio Replacer
Replace the audio. Don’t touch the picture.
- The video stream is copied, never re-encoded: no generation loss, no transcode to wait through.
- MXF, MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV and WMV go in and come back out in the same container.
- Stereo, 5.1, 7.1 and polyphonic WAV all pass through intact, with a lossless mode for WAV and FLAC.
RTA Meter
Analyze the room. Ring it out.
- Real-time spectrum up to 1/48 octave, spectrogram and target curves, including the cinema X-Curve.
- SPL with A, C or Z weighting, plus peak and Leq from one second to 24 hours.
- Ring-Out spots tones that keep growing, with the note and a suggested notch cut.
The four, side by side
None of the four overlaps the others: they sit at four different moments of the same day.

Before you buy
The terms, plainly
Four questions always come up. Better answered here than at the checkout.
14 days, everything open
Every feature, no credit card and no account to create. The trial installs and uninstalls like any other app.
Paid once
One licence, one payment. No subscription, no annual renewal, no feature that switches off if you stop paying.
The licence follows you
Activation transfers from one machine to another — swap a workstation and the licence goes with it. Updates arrive inside the app itself.
They never leave the studio
The work happens on your machine, offline. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is analysed elsewhere, and the original is never rewritten.
Unsure before you buy?
Write to us: the person who answers is the one who wrote the code. Tell us which file is holding you up and we will tell you which of the four handles it — or that none of them does.
